ABOUT THE OUTFIT

Cargo Jacket/Found; Dress + Oxfords/Asos;  Lipstick/Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Va Va Violet (#663)

Lately, I've really been digging grunge trends, not so much that I want to purge all the girly dresses and floral tops from my closet, but I definitely would like to add some touches of grunge into my outfit. The thing I've wanted most is really dark lipstick. I finally bought some dark violet lipstick a couple weeks ago (right before this outfit post was taken), and I think it looks really great on my fair skin tone. I walked into my living room and my mom told me it looked too dark on me! What do you do whenever a person whose opinion is valuable to you disagrees with your lipstick choice? If  you were questioning it to begin with, maybe find something that makes you feel more confident, but if you really like it, wear it. I mean, it's just lipstick--it wipes off and leaves a clean slate. I feel like that's where a lot of people get messed up about some things, they like something, but maybe other don't like it so much. I'm learning that me liking something doesn't mean everyone else has to. 

In other news, I have two ear infections in my right ear and one (at least) in my left. That means that this is the third time this year I've had ear infections in each ear. Great. I was also informed that I should probably see an ear doctor because I may have to have tubes reinserted into my ears, which sounds like a peaceful waterfall. I have yet to see a doctor, but I did have to leave school midway today because my ears hurt so badly (and I literally only have four classes). Picnic.
