Outfit: Icy Blue

ABOUT THE OUTFIT:
Cardigan/Thrifted (Thanks, Mom!); Skirt & Shoes/Forever 21; T-Shirt/ASOS

I wore this outfit the other day to make a quick run around with Madeleine. We grabbed coffees and went back to my house to watch Bridesmaids and eat pizza.

Lately, I've really been into playing with different kinds of silhouettes that aren't necessarily mainstream to the plus-size girl world. Most of the time, you are supposed to really emphasize your figure so you don't "look like a lump." But I don't want to look hourglass-y all the time because that's so boring and that's not the only way to look good, right? So I didn't tuck my t-shirt into my skirt but I tied it on the side just below my natural waste for just a bit of shape and threw my new cardigan over the whole thing (PS it's my favorite).

Outfit: Dress Up

ABOUT THE OUTFIT:
Dress/ASOS; Shoes/Deena & Ozzy, Urban Outfitters

I wore this outfit to church the other day because ever since I saw this dress, I'd wanted it, and when I got it in the mail, I didn't know quite how or where to wear it. Church seemed like a good fit, though I'll probably wear it much more seeing as it is pretty much the whole entire outfit and I don't have to put much thought into what I wear with it.
These shoes. Gah, these shoes are glorious! These are also hard to pair up with things because of how cool they are. And by cool, I mean the colors in them are on the cooler spectrum of the color wheel. I decided, why not pair these together? I didn't want this dress to come off too old lady or too little girl and I want a little bit of eccentric in every outfit. These shoes were the perfect way to achieve that, I think.

In other news, I've not had the best week. Sunday, I ran out of power steering fluid (which, let's be honest here, raise your hand if you knew *that* existed) and spun out twice on a, thankfully, clear road. Then, yesterday I had a blow out in the middle of busy street out of nowhere. My tire looked like it had been ripped all the way out of my rim. And then today, I failed a hearing exam which could be the least of my worries, but I'm still taking it kind of hard. All of these things happening to me showed me again though how great of a support system I have and how many great people I have surrounding me to help out when they can.

What are you thankful for today?

xx

PS, I've gotten a lot of clothing/things lately and was thinking of filming a "haul" video. Would anyone be interested in that?

Back With A New Bag

This morning (after much begging since she'd gotten it) my mom passed on this glorious bag to me. I thought I'd stop by and share it... Maybe when I have more time (and when there's stuff in the bag) I'll photograph a 'What's In My Bag?' that the bloggers are so fond of these days. It's literally a dream, what with it being black and studded (without too much studding) and it even has a crossbody strap, which is a feature that most nice bags typically lack.

Anyways, school has started back again--already two weeks in this semester--and it's a little less stressful but I know it'll start getting worse the closer to finals it gets. I haven't posted much in the OUTFIT tag lately and hopefully I'll start getting back into that but I really haven't felt pretty in anything I've worn lately and I feel like I just wear the same things over and over even though I know I've not shared even my most popular outfits here on this blog quite yet. Soon, grasshoppers, soon.

Hey all! I thought maybe you would want to look through some of the pictures I took while I was in Texas with my grandparents! Let me know what you think!
